Health Care at Kingswood

The Health Care in Kingswood Village is operated by a highly reputable Pretoria based organization, which has had many years experience in caring for the aged.

"The provision of healthcare at Kingswood is unique. The model was developed in consultation with leading healthcare and medical professionals."

The Frail Care Centre consists of 17 double bedrooms, architecturally designed to the highest standards. The double bedrooms promote safety, interaction and companionship. Even though non-residents can be admitted to the Frail Care, a bed will at all times be reserved for Kingswood Village residents that need to be admitted urgently. Allowing non-residents entry into the Frail Care Centre will assist in providing an affordable service for all.
In addition to the frail care service, the health care professionals at Kingswood will provide a general 24-hour village-wide medical support care service. This service is included in the monthly levy and includes a free blood pressure clinic once a week, clinic, routine medical care, regular house visits by the village sister or nursing staff for those who are unable to attend the clinic at an additional cost.
More importantly though, each resident in Kingswood will have the comfort of knowing that they have immediate access to the medical support system trough a button on a remote control unit in the case of an medical emergency. The remote unit should be kept close by the residents and should be available to him/her at all times. The Frail Care Centre is also directly linked to the 24 Assisted Living units enabling these residents to enjoy different levels of services, depending on the needs of its occupants.
Health Care in Kingswood will be split into two categories:

1. A service for the residents admitted in the frail care.
2. A service for the rest of the Village.
